Job Title: Store Manager (SM)
Reports to: Director, Store Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Store Operations
Classification: Management
The Store Manager is responsible and accountable for directing all store-level activities for store employees to include but not limited to store physical inventory, visual merchandising, incoming truck deliveries, timekeeping, schedules, store cash control, and sales management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Interviews hires, and trains all store associates in regard to sales, systems, and company processes.
Assigns tasks and projects to staff to ensure that deadlines are met safely and accurately.
Oversees the store’s staff schedules and reviews and approves time off requests in a timely manner.
Evaluates the performance of all store employees on a regular basis by performing ad-hoc and scheduled coaching.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures store staff is greeting and providing customers with a high level of customer service
Oversees the store’s visual merchandising, and upholds the company standard.
Regularly monitors store revenue and customer traffic to ensure the appropriate staffing levels.
Effectively addresses internal store personnel conflicts and interactions and partners with the Director of Store Operations and or Human Resources as needed.
Owns and delivers appropriate communication to store-level employees on behalf of the company.
Regularly partners with the Director of Store Operation on appropriate customer escalations, store standards, customer relations issues, warranties, “ready to deliver”, etc.
Responsible for attending and facilitating regularly scheduled training and or company meetings as directed.
Ensures orderly storage of incoming floors samples and other inventory
Works to organically build and maintain store sales month-over-month and year-over-year.
Partners with respective department leaders such as distribution and customer service to ensure the timely delivery of customer orders.
Manages written sales tickets, sales conversions, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Responsible for the accurate tracking, and documentation of inventory from multiple points of origin and distribution.
Embodies, and manages according to the Company’s mission, vision, and core values
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s Degree (A.A) from an accredited institution in business management, or business administration; and a minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific experience in furniture retail management is highly preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write advanced and/or professional correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendor representatives, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to take conceptual instruction and translate it into actionable tasks consistent with agreed-upon goals.
Ability to think independently and figure out how to reach solutions to complex problems.
Computer Skills:
Ability to perform and understand the functions of personal computers and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. After a short training period, this position must show in-depth proficiency with the FROG system.
