Job Description

Job Summary:
The Center Manager develops and administers an activity program to meet the needs of their Center Clients. They are also responsible for meeting and bringing in new clientele to their prospective Centers.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Expected hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–3:00 pm, unless otherwise directed by Coordinator or Executive Director
Check in visitors to the Center, answer any questions they may have
Make luncheon announcements, lead Pledge of Allegiance, socialize with seniors
Designs and develops recreation and leisure programs to meet the needs of the older adult clientele at the Centers
Be in overall charge of senior center activities, including calling Bingo and coordinating exercise groups
Write monthly newsletter update with activities guide
Be familiar with the My-Senior-Center Program and enter in new clients timely and accurately
Promote Roscommon County Commission on Aging throughout your Center’s Region
Organize and plan programs for the Center in cooperation with the Center’s Advisory Board and COA Activity Coordinator. Coordinate activities with various local organizations
Maintain NAPIS forms on each individual senior at the center, including emergency information
Complete all required reports applicable to center operations and submit to Commission on Aging administrative office in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to weekly meal reports, bank deposits, NAPIS forms, time sheets, monthly newsletter article.
Receive all monies coming into the center and be responsible for depositing into COA bank account twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays
Disinfect high touch areas, maintain thermostat, turn off lights, and ensure all doors are secured before leaving for the day
Attend all trainings and meetings as required
Report to COA Activities Coordinator, Kitchens Coordinator and/or Executive Director any and all problems and/or concerns at the center as they arise
Arrange with the Kitchens Coordinator and/or Executive Director for outside rental of the building as necessary
Responsible for keeping the Center clean (including sweeping, mopping, dining area & restroom upkeep)
Additional duties as assigned by the COA Activities Coordinator

Required Skills/Abilities:

Shall demonstrate a genuine interest and concern when working with older adults and maintain a confidential and tactful nature
Possess strong organizational and public relation skill
Have basic computer skills and experience with on-line research
Ability to participate in and conduct semi-active programs
Have reliable transportation, including a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
Must be able to pass random drug testing
Must abide by the Operations Standards Service Program requirements, which includes annual background checks

Education and Experience:

High school diploma

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and/or standing
Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds at a time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 – $15.50 per hour
