Purpose of Your Job Position
To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Physical Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Delegation of Authority
As Physical Therapy Assistant, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Assist in developing and maintaining physical therapy standards

Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating policies and procedures in conjunction with facility QI Committee

Reviews physical therapy policies, procedures, and manuals at least annually, and participates in making recommended changes as needed

Reviews quality and appropriateness of total services delivered and or individual Physical Therapy programs for effectiveness and efficiency.

Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required

Ensures that resident records are not lost or mishandled

Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to appropriate personnel as required

Understands and complies with Corporate Compliance plan

Participate in Quality Assurance programs, and any other facility committee, or program which seeks to improve the performance and accuracy of resident care.
