The Learning & Development Specialist role is responsible for a variety of learning and organizational development initiatives which include creating, designing, supporting, and executing the learning and organizational development initiatives for Arthrex employees and departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with the delivery of training programs, materials and other organizational development services, programs, and specialized workshops to meet the needs of new and existing employees.
Supports the organizational development initiatives at Arthrex for engagement and development tools.
Identifies, prepares, and delivers instructional materials that educate and train employees based on learning/organizational development needs.
Reviews and updates existing training materials as required plus prepares each class for delivery.
Presents engaging content using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role plays, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures.
Develop, prepare and/or obtain course materials (presentations, facilitator guides, student guides, and support materials/handouts).
Generates reports with learning rosters and enters participant information into the Learning Management System (LMS) to track and report on class attendance and program certification.
Assists with the team building and team charter process through organizational development consultancy approach.
Education & Experience:
4 years of experience required.
2 years of Instructional Design experience.
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources or Organizational Design.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Advanced understanding of adult learning theory, training principles, instructional design methodologies, and leadership development.
Actively worked with organizational design methodology, practices, and competency modeling.
Moderate use and/or application of advanced instructional design methodology. Operates regularly with organizational development tools. Moderate knowledge of learning practices and standards.
Provides consultation related to advanced learning & organizational development initiatives.
Develops solutions for teams related to a variety of topics based on, off the shelf content.
Works under very general supervision. Work is peer reviewed. Supported oversight of objectives of assignment. Plans own schedule and arranges independent activities in accomplishing objectives.
