The Inside Sales Rep at Beacon Building Products is responsible for maintaining, retaining, and generating new customer relationships. This individual will be able to prospect and qualify new partnerships within the market for our Outside Sales Representatives to move forward with. This role serves as a liaison between the customers and the branches nationwide. We are seeking an energetic, motivated, team player who is ready to learn and have fun doing so. Beacon has large growth potential within the organization and this position will help build solid sales and relationship management experience to help you grow your professional career.

Duties and Responsibilities

Interact by phone and email with new and existing customers to develop and maintain relationships
Analyzing prospect’s needs, understand business processes, identify projects, determine requirements, and ascertain potential solutions
Learn and demonstrate the benefits of Beacons suite of technology products, services, and solutions to customers
Research and quality leads for our Outside Sales Representatives; effectively leveraging telephone, email, LinkedIn, and other proven methods to engage prospects
Interact by phone and email with key personnel up to, and including, Sales Directors, Branch Managers, Outside Sales Reps (OSR)’s and C-Level executives
Leverage state-of-the-art training courses to effectively develop product knowledge and selling soft skills
Maintaining and updating SalesForce, a CRM package with daily activity logs and managing data quality
Collaborate with teammates to improve individual and team performance
Ensure outstanding customer service

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Coachable, willing to learn and improve daily • Adaptable, hard-working, team player able to perform in a fast-paced, sales environment
Unafraid to challenge customers to uncover real business pains, drivers, and motivations.
Tenacity and desire to commit to growing a career
Comfortable using sales technology and CRM tools. (I.E Salesforce, Five9, Execvision)
Spanish conversational skills preferred, but not necessary

Working Conditions

Duties are primarily performed remotely in a quiet, indoor area • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
Able and willing to conduct video calls upon request
Travel will be required to office or branch locations
Typically, less than 10% overnight travel is required for company events and expo’
