Columbus Regional Airport Authority is looking for a Data Analyst, who wants to “Land Your Next Career”!
This is a key position that will mine our data-rich environments, analyze data using statistical techniques and gain a deep understanding of the data to help inform management on how it can solve business needs and impact the future of our organization. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in distilling complex data and articulating the story behind the data to a broad audience of stakeholders. Will require you to be in the office 3 at least 3 days per week.
The Columbus Regional Airport Authority manages and operates passenger-focused John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), cargo-focused Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), and general aviation airport Bolton Field (TZR).

Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence:
Engages with organization leadership to understand business challenges, performs complex data analysis and presents findings to help inform decisions based on sound data insights.
Extracts, ingests and aggregates data to make data actionable while providing meaningful insights.
Presents data findings and recommendations to stakeholders using knowledge of databases and scripting languages.
Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
Creates strategies and plans for capturing, analyzing, and sharing data for team optimization.
Establishes data feeds to ERP data platform, develops scripts for auditing and verifying the data for defined use cases and produces necessary reports.
Assists with identifying and resolving production and/or application development issues related to the use of database management system software or utilities.
Ensures databases are designed to meet specifications and requirements at lowest possible cost.
Creates strategies and plans for the capturing, analyzing and the sharing of data that can be used to optimize the team.
Works with leadership to identify key metrics.
Supports various projects to develop more efficient means of communicating and displaying data, trends, and analytics, such as dashboards and periodic reports available to key stakeholders.
Analyzes vendor performance based on identified metrics built from contracts and helps develop KPIs for new contracts.
Develops and maintains documentation and standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related degree and minimum five (5) years of experience as a data practitioner or equivalent of education and experience
Experience presenting and explaining people data to a wide audience, including leadership
Expert level proficiency in at least one query language
Ability to work with autonomy and ambiguity
Highly developed storytelling skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
Highly developed interpersonal and team skills
Proficiency and experience in project management skills
Familiarity with statistical methods, forecasting, and modeling methodologies.
