Batting Cage ATTENDANT (PT/Seasonal)
The employee in this position is seasonal. The employee in this position is under the direct supervision of the Athletic Coordinator and general supervision of the Director/Assistant Director.
The employee is responsible for maintaining and operating the batting cages during his/her shift. Duties include but are not limited to daily cleaning of work space, handling money, using daily checklists to record daily activities, customer service and supervising adjunct facilities (playground, skate park, pavilions, etc., if needed).
Instructions to the employee are generally specific; however, there are times the employee must exercise good judgment and be responsible for course of action.
This is a part-time/seasonal position with an hourly rate of $12.00.

The employee will operate a basic cash register and/or a calculator to perform basic mathematical skills related to cash handling.
The employee will keep the area clean and trash placed in proper containers.
Work is performed in a building that is outdoors. The employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather conditions and humidity.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Requires light physical effort working almost exclusively with lightweight materials (up to 25 pounds).
Physical activities include, but not limited to walking, talking, stooping, kneeling, light lifting, bending, handling, grasping, reaching, typing and gripping.
Also includes the necessity to communicate by talking, hearing/listening.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus, for operation of machines and equipment, to determine accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observation of general surroundings.


Maintain and perform good basic cash handling procedures
Counts cash drawer at beginning and end of each shift.
Maintain batting cage facilities (cleaning, weed eating, leaf blowing, etc.) within the work space.
Ensure participant experience by enforcing batting cages program rules, regulations and procedures.
Maintain a constant check on facility operating functions, pitching machines, lighting, etc.
Other duties may be assigned


Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
Ability to understand simple oral and written instructions
Ability to complete written checklists and reports
Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a positive manner


Must be at least 16 years of age, 18 years and older preferred.
Valid TN Driver License
Must pass a physical, drug screen test, and background check.
